1 cup warm water
2 teaspoons cream of tartar (in the spice section at the grocery)
1 teaspoon oil
1/4 cup salt
food coloring

Help your child discover the creative cook in themselves with this play dough recipe!
Mix all ingredients in a medium heavy sauce pan, adding food coloring to the water, if desired. Stir constantly over medium heat until the dough pull completely away from the edge of the pan and forms a pliable ball. Remove from pan and knead immediately until blended smooth. (Be Careful! It's a little hit!) Place in plastic bag or airtight container when cooled. This keeps for a really long time.
