When we measure brown sugar in the classroom, we press it firmly into the cup and turn the cup upside down on the palm of our hand, proudly displaying our little "sand castles". One day, the epiphany hit me...
Hannah, my Creative Director, VP and 13 year-old daughter- spent the next hour flexing her artistic talent and bringing the idea to life. Brown Sugar Castle-building was born!
In this wacky, sticky, creative workshop, your child will bake Brown Sugar Shortbread Kook-ies and then have time to PLAY with their food- We'll bring out all the bowls, utensils, cups and cutters and let them create their own Brown Sugar Castle!
We provide everything- you just bring the imagination. Of course, if you have a cup or utensil that you think will make a great mold-bring it! The more creative we get, the more fun we'll have!
Interested participants will have their castles photographed and posted on this website and in the studio. Visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favorites. Winners will be chosen in the 3-5, 6-8, 9-12 and teen age groups. Prizes will include For Kids Who Cook T-shirts, free classes and more!
