Product Description

Cooking at the stove is a whole different level of scary for parents of kids who cook. This parent and child cooking class will help to alleviate some of your concerns and show you how to relieve as much stress as possible; not only the techniques for keeping your child safe, but the preparation methods that can eliminate the fears altogether. In this cooking class, we aim to help you and your child gain confidence in your child’s abilities and teach you strategies to minimize risk. Of course, the rules say it’s still got to be fun and delicious, otherwise it’s not worth playing for, right? Two fantastic dishes- a soup and a stew- will set the basis for dozens of delicious dishes that can be made using the same techniques. The kids will make Creamy Potato Soup with Bacon while the growed-ups kick it up a notch with a slight variation in Butternut Squash and Apple Puree. Then it’s on to Quick Chicken Stew taught with two methods- one for the not-so-young kids and the other for those who need the safer alternative. Parents and kids will work together, but on separate projects.
  • Each class participant will go home with 2-4 servings of each of two recipes.
  • Please register for quantity of class participants: parent/child teams register for quantity of 2
