We honor Martin Luther King this day, his birthday, for his contribution to the civil rights movement. When I plan this workshop every year, I like to think of today as a celebration of his life. I imagine that he would celebrate this day much the same way I like to celebrate my own birthday. With cake, of course!
This three-hour cooking workshop will have kids cooking up a feast fit for any King, but we researched MLK Junior’s favorite foods and are delighted to present you with this menu fit for his birthday. Of course, we simply have to make Yellow Birthday Cake with Chocolate Frosting, but we’ll also cook up a Baked Macaroni and Cheese that you’ll get to customize to your own tastes. You’ll choose from a variety of vegetables, meats and cheeses to create something uniquely your own…and worth celebrating.
