Knife Skills for Ninjas- Sat. Feb 4, 10am-1pm

Product Description
Some parents hear the words “kids” and “knives” in the same sentence and instantly break out in a sweat. The goal in all of our classes is to teach kids the proper and safe ways to use knives, but this class in particular will teach kids methods and tricks they can use when cutting. Using a variety of knives, starting with a ’plastic training knife’, we’ll lead kids through proper hand placement and body positioning. Then we’ll move to the classic chef’s knife as we cut various fruits, vegetables and meats for a hearty pairing of soup and salad. Although we take our knife skills very seriously, we’ll keep the mood light-hearted and fun as we move through Winter Fruit Salad andGerman Chicken and Sausage Soup. This class is dedicated to cutting! Kids will leave with a good foundation for using a chef’s knife with the proper safe-cutting glove.
BTW: This also happens to be National Homemade Soup day. What better way to celebrate than with this thick and hearty German-inspired soup teaming with chicken, sausage, apple and spaetzle?
