Ginger Bread House Making
Friday, December 17, 6-7:30 AND Saturday, December 18, 10am-noon
Product Description
Americans have been nibbling gingerbread houses since the days of Hansel and Gretel. With gumdrop bushes, peppermint windows and wafer-shingles, who can blame us?
In this two-part workshop, we will explore every aspect of gingerbread house-building. Friday evening we will make our own gingerbread and bake the structural pieces. Saturday morning, we will make Royal Icing, assemble and (finally!)decorate our cookie cottages. For Kids Who Cook will set out every imaginable candy to play with, leaving your imagination to run WILD.
This year we are holding this as a parent/child adventure. Grab your favorite pint-sized chef(s) and make holiday memories worth eating!
Kids 7 and up, adults of all ages (we won't ask)
Each class participant will go home with a completed gingerbread house. Two houses and you have a start to a village! Four houses is a whole town!
