Cooking Birthday Parties
A cooking party is the perfect way to celebrate the birthday of a young food lover or cook. Not only does a cooking party provide an unbeatable, hands-on activity to entertain the kids, but the event culminates in a delectably edible ending!
  • Our Cooking parties take place in our brand new Kitchen Studio, located just 1 mile off I93 at 16 Manning Street in Derry. Book now for our mid-June opening! Included in your For Kids Who Cook Cooking Party:
  • 2 hour cooking class including time to eat and open gifts
  • Party Invitations (qty to correspond to number of guests)
  • Thank you notes (qty to correspond to number of guests)
  • Quality cloth chef hats for each guest to keep
  • Copies of the recipes we prepared at the party for each guest to keep
  • For Kids Who Cook Birthday T-shirt for the Birthday Child If you are ready to book a cooking class party, please contact us for our availability. The following party times are available: Friday 5-7pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am-noon, 1pm-3pm, 4pm-6pm. If you would like to hold a party mid-week, we will usually be able to accommodate your schedule. Just ask! Generally, it is best to book your cooking party 3-5 weeks in advance to allow ample time for invitations. Choose one of the following party themes, or contact us if you would like to customize a theme of your own. Any of our For Kids Who Cook cooking class recipes can be recreated for you. Afterall- you're the chef! American Girl- We’ll recreate favorite recipes from the time of your favorite American Girl Doll friends! Don’t forget to bring your American Girl Doll- the party just wouldn’t be the same without her.
  • Addy- The warm Southern comfort foods that Addy would have enjoyed during the civil war most likely included classic recipes like "Hoppin’ John", "Johnny Cake" (Corn Bread) and "Civil War Pudding" (A Baked Custard).
  • Josefina- In 1824 New Mexico, when Josefina was born, favorites like "Chicken Enchiladas" and "Apple Empanaditas" were sure to adorn her table. One taste and you'll see why they are still favorites today.
  • Kit- The Great Depression brought about wonderful classic recipes such as "Sloppy Joes" (derived from a loosemeat sandwich in Iowa by a cook named Joe) and "Peanut Butter Cookies". In honor of the first canned soft drink of 1938, we’ll make our own "fountain soda pops", too!
  • Julie- In San Francisco in the 1970s, they were serving "Seasoned Cream Cheese Stuffed Celery sticks" and baking "Quiche Lorraine" (Bacon and Cheese). "Swiss Rolls" became popular cakes to bake- and we’ll recreate the whole scene, right here in the FKWC Studio. Spa-tacular event- Imagine you and your friends pampering yourselves with our mouth-watering recipes for Spa-Tacular fun. What teenage girl wouldn’t love a birthday party of luxurious relaxation? Who wouldn’t love an occasion to smear avocado on their best friend’s face? Oodles of giggles and a silky smooth complexion to boot! We will make "Avocado Mask" and an "Oatmeal Facial Scrub", while snacking on our "Fresh Guacamole" and "Warm Oatmeal Cookies". Oh- don’t forget to wear your pajamas and fuzzy bunny slippers!

    WebKinz Café- Probably the silliest birthday party you’ll ever have! Bring your WebKinz friends to the WebKinz café for a menu of delightful recipes from Chef Gazpacho’s private collection, including Chef Gazpacho’s favorite- Mama Gazpacho’s “Original Recipe Pizza Sandwich”. (Happiness Boost 3, Health Boost 6, Hunger Boost 13) Served with “Atomicolicious Punch”, and the fruity noodle salad- “Werrigetti”.

    Mexican Fiesta- Little chefs and their friends who love to eat Mexican food, will love our “Totally Tacos” menu (beef or bean tacos with all the fixings- lettuce, tomato, cheese, green chilies, salsa and sour cream) OR “Queso Quesadillas” (Cheese Quesadillas served with sour cream, homemade guacamole and homemade salsa). Plan on “Dessert Nachos” for a satisfying finish.

    Everything Emeril- Add a little BAM! To your party with a complete menu of favorites from Food TV’s Emeril Lagasse. “Ka-Bam Kebobs”, “Notch-It-Up Oven Baked Fries” and “Big M, little M, M&M cookies”

    A Day with Rachael Ray-Are you the next Food TV superstar? An entire birthday party menu built on Rachaelisms! We'll make "Chicken Catch-A-Tory Ravioli Stoup" and "Cool-As-Cucumber Mini-Sammies" and "Five-Minute Fudge". Yum-O!

    Chocolate Heaven- You become the chocolatier with this heavenly sweet birthday party. "Chocolate Mice", "White Chocolate Truffles" and "Chocolate Candy Cups"- we'll set out the ingredients while you and your friends invent one-of-a-kind confectionary creations!

    Patisserie Party-Turn your birthday party into a trip to the french bakery! Only, YOU get to be the baker! "Shortbread Crusted Fruit Tarts" and "Chocolate Turnovers" both pretty and 'délicieux'!

    Napoleon Dynamite-"If you vote for Pedro all of your wildest dreams will come true..." You've heard all the lines at least a dozen times, and your bound to hear them again as we prepare a birthday meal of "'R-U-Gonna-Eat-Your-Tots' Tater Tots", "Pedro's Chocolate Cake" and your choice of "Dang-Kay-sa-dillas" or "Tina-the-Fat-Lard's Casserole" (Mini Egg and Cheese Casseroles or Tuna Noodle Casseroles). Served with 1% milk, of course!

    Pizza Parlor-What could be more fun than a group of friends with their hands all covered with sticky, gooey pizza dough and their faces sprinkled lightly with flour? A few giggles and a little tomato sauce later and you'll each have your own individual, "Homemade Pizza." The possibilities are endless as we set out toppings of your choice and YOU get to be the chef. Picasso Cake Decorating-Everyone eats cake on their birthday- but how many kids get to decorate one? In this creative class, you and your friends will each decorate your own 5" layer cake, with frosting that YOU made! Sticky, gooey, delicious FUN! (Additional fee of $30)
