Inspired by our “Box of Chocolates” class that we run every February for Valentine’s Day, we have compiled our favorite candy recipes in a treasure of recipes that make excellent gifts. Fun, creative recipes like Chocolate Candy Cups and Chocolate Covered Mice are paired with the more elaborate, candy-thermometer requiring recipes like Caramel Turtles and Buckeye Candy. The first time I ever made Potato Candy I chuckled for days over the looks on my kids faces when I told them the truffles they were eating were made from potatoes, but the coconut filling tastes so much like a Mounds bar, they quickly recovered.
