The Bakery- Jul 25,26,27, 1pm-4pm (SOLD OUT!)

When I bake, my mind wanders over the hundreds of recipes that I wish I had the time to teach. From the utterly modest to the downright ostentatious, there is something about the presentation of real ingredients and the loving labor that goes into baking that delights me. Thankfully, nearly everyone I know likes to eat! Every year we do a baking camp and each year there are favorites that kids want to cook again and again. But there is so much to learn and so many techniques to master that we rarely repeat recipes. This year will be no exception. Running the gamut from savory to sweet, this year’s class will feature Whoopie Pies and Sourdough Bread, Cinnamon Bread and Banana Cream Pie as well as many others. Sticky Buns are another bakery favorite, aren’t they? And Spinach and Cheese Knish? There is nothing quite as satisfying as a bag of flour, I swear!

Combine with 'Almost Mexican' to make a full day of camp. Pack a lunch and the kids are welcome to stay for the hour between camps.
