Product Description

There are more than 2500 different varieties of apples grown in the United States and the average person eats about 65 apples per year. Unless, of course, the person lives in New Hampshire during leaf-peeping season! How could anyone only eat 65 of them when they are as fresh and delicious as we grow them here?

These kids cooking classes will have us cooking up an abundance of apples. We’ll use apples of varying colors and shapes, tartness and sweetness, giving you the grand tour of cooking with apples. We’ll be preparing Cider Glazed Porkchops, Apple and Bacon Pizza with Cheddar and Apple Stuffing as just a few of the examples. Meant to be both a cooking and baking class, we’ll also make the moistestApple Bread and the most delicious Apple Cobbler. Expect 12 recipes in all and happy faces around the dinner table every Tuesday night!

  • Classes will be Tuesdays, 3:30-5pm in room 119 FACS, October 18-November 22.
  • Kids 9-14
  • Bring a cloth grocery sack for carrying your goodies home! You should expect a minimum of 2-4 servings of each recipe. In many cases it will be much more than that.
  • Class size is limited to 12 students- so register soon!
